Wire simulation
A rope held by one end, falling under Verlet integration. Drag the tail and it pulls back.
A hundred points connected by distance constraints, integrated with Verlet and constrained three times per frame. The stiffness comes from how many times you run the constraints, not from any spring constant — run it once and the rope stretches like elastic, run it more and it firms up. The tail gets a small random jitter each frame so it never settles.
